Markdown to PDF converter
Turn Markdown into a PDF without uploading it anywhere. The document is typeset on your device and handed to your browser's own print engine, so the text stays selectable, links stay clickable and the paper size is exactly what you chose. Set the page size, margins, text size and style, check the live preview, then save it as a PDF.
Preview
Start typing Markdown to see the pages here.
Opens your browser's print dialog — choose “Save as PDF”.
Runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded.
How to convert Markdown to PDF
- Paste Markdown into the box, drop a
.mdfile onto it, or press Load example to start from a document that already uses headings, tables and code. - Choose the paper: page size, portrait or landscape, margins, text size and style. The preview is laid out at the real page width, so the line breaks you see are the line breaks you get.
- Press Save as PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens — pick Save as PDF as the destination and the file is written to your device.
What comes out, and why it looks like this
- Text stays text. The PDF is typeset by the browser rather than screenshotted, so it is selectable, searchable and crisp at any zoom — and far smaller than an image-based export.
- Links, heading anchors and table headers survive: the print engine repeats a table's header row on every page it spans, and keeps code blocks and images from splitting across a page break.
- Long code lines wrap instead of running off the page, and the style you pick — including the dark one — is forced to print, so the page looks the way the preview does.
Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The Markdown is rendered and printed inside this browser tab, so the file never leaves your device. That is also why the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Why does it use the print dialog instead of building a PDF directly?
Because a real print engine produces a real document: selectable text, working links, exact page geometry, and pagination that knows not to cut a table row in half. A canvas-based converter draws a picture of the page instead, which is larger, blurrier and cannot be searched.
Can I get the HTML instead of a PDF?
Yes. Download .html saves the same self-contained document the printer receives, with the page size and margins already set — open it in a browser and it prints identically, with no network access needed.
Do tables, math and diagrams convert?
Yes. GFM tables keep their alignment, $…$ math is typeset with KaTeX, and ```mermaid blocks are drawn as diagrams — in the preview and in the PDF.
Need to edit the Markdown first?
The editor opens Markdown, plain text and whole folders, previews it as you type, compares two documents with line diffs, and exports to PDF, Word, HTML or PNG.
