Markdown to HTML converter
Paste Markdown or drop a .md file and get semantic, ready-to-embed HTML back: headings, tables, task lists and fenced code. The conversion runs entirely in your browser, so drafts and internal documents stay on your device.
Or drop a .md file on this box.
Runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded.
How to convert Markdown to HTML
- Paste Markdown into the box above, or drop a
.mdfile: a README, a note from your editor, or the draft of a blog post. - The Markdown is parsed and rebuilt as HTML: headings become
<h1>–<h6>, lists and tables keep their structure, code is escaped rather than interpreted, and headings getidattributes you can link to. - Copy the markup into your CMS or template, or download it as an
.htmlfile — tick complete document first if you want a page that opens and styles itself anywhere.
What you get
- Semantic HTML, not a screenshot: headings, paragraphs, lists, blockquotes and tables come out as the elements your template and search engines expect.
- GitHub-Flavored Markdown is on by default, so tables, task lists, strikethrough and autolinks convert the way GitHub renders them. Turn it off when you need strict CommonMark.
- The complete-document option inlines a small stylesheet (system fonts, light and dark), so the downloaded
.htmlis a single file that opens offline, with no CDN and no build step.
Frequently asked questions
Is my Markdown uploaded?
No. Parsing, converting and downloading all happen in your browser, so the document never leaves your device — which is also why the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Does it keep tables, task lists and code blocks?
Yes. GitHub-Flavored Markdown is enabled by default: tables keep their alignment, - [x] items become disabled checkboxes, and fenced code becomes <pre><code> with the language class and its characters escaped.
Can I paste the output straight into a CMS?
Yes. Leave complete document unchecked and the output is a plain fragment, exactly the markup a blog post, an email template or a component expects. Raw HTML in your Markdown passes through untouched, so review any markup you did not write yourself.
Rendered HTML, not just converted
Every conversion can be opened in the editor with a live preview, LaTeX math, Mermaid diagrams and export to PDF, Word, HTML or PNG.
